Privacy Policy

Overview

SocialGlimpz, Inc. ("GlimpzIt", "we", "us" and/or "our") takes your privacy seriously. We recognize that privacy is an important issue, so we design and operate our services with the protection of your privacy in mind. We also want you to understand what we will and will not do with your information, including both personal information and aggregated and/or anonymized information. This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices of GlimpzIt with respect to your information, including information that is collected via our mobile applications, our proprietary GlimpzIt platform, related services and our website located at www.GlimpzIt.com (the "Site") (collectively, the "Services").

Our Services offer you an opportunity to ask questions, prompt users, or start conversations ("Conversations") and share opinions with other GlimpzIt users (both individuals and entities) who want to develop new products and services, improve existing offerings, acquire marketing content or just simply want to learn from the valuable experiences and input of others.

The term "Personal Information" as used in this Privacy Policy refers to personally identifiable information that specifically identifies an individual (such as an individual's first and last name, address, telephone number and e-mail address), and other information about that individual or such individual's activities or preferences when such information is directly linked to personally identifiable information. Personal information does not include aggregate information, which is data we collect about the use of the Services and our general user base, from which any personal information has been removed. We may collect aggregate data for a number of purposes, including to improve the Services, to diagnose technical issues, to help identify user needs so that we can better consider new products and services, and to tailor existing products and services to better serve our users. This Privacy Policy in no way limits or restricts our collection, use or disclosure of aggregate information.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Personal Information that is Processed by GlimpzIt in the course of our business, including on the Sites and on all our Services. All individuals whose responsibilities include the Processing of Personal Information on behalf of GlimpzIt are expected to protect that data by adherence to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is intended to meet requirements globally, including those in North America, Europe, APAC, and other jurisdictions.

How We Collect and Use Information

At Registration:

When you register with GlimpzIt, we may request Personal Information, including your first and last name, an email address and password to create your account. You will also have the opportunity to, but are not required to, provide us with additional information, such as age, ethnic background and personal income. We collect, process and use such registration information to manage your account and to provide you with the Services. When you register as a member of GlimpzIt, you represent that you are providing complete and accurate information and we rely upon such representation.

Via Email:

We provide email links in the Services to allow you to contact us directly. The information you provide to GlimpzIt, including via email and related links, which may include Personal Information, is used to respond directly to your questions or comments. We may also store and otherwise use your comments to improve the Site and the Services.

Via Software:

GlimpzIt may obtain information related to use of the Services via our mobile application or mobile web pages as a result of data being sent to our servers from our software agents. We aggregate such data to better understand our users, including information regarding users' use sessions, handsets and geography. Once the data is aggregated, we make it available for analysis by the developers of our mobile application, and may also use it to improve the Services or develop or provide new products and services.

When you interact with GlimpzIt through the Site, we may also receive and store certain personally non-identifiable information. Such information, which is collected passively using various technologies, cannot presently be used to specifically identify you. GlimpzIt may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by GlimpzIt affiliates, agents or service providers. The Site may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of visitors to the Site, the number of visitors to each page of the Site, and the domain names of our visitors' Internet service providers. It is important to note that no Personal Information is available or used in this process.

We may also use services such as Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to help analyze how users use the Site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Site (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the Site, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.

Via Social Networking Services:

One of the special features of the Services is that it allows you to enable various online third party services, such as Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks ("Social Networking Services"), to be directly integrated into your GlimpzIt experience. By directly integrating these Social Networking Services, we make your online experiences richer, and more personalized. For example, we may use your Social Data (as defined below) to provide you with customized features. To take advantage of these features, we will ask you to log into or authorize the relevant Social Networking Services, but your password will be provided directly to the applicable Social Networking Service and is not collected by GlimpzIt. When you add a Social Networking Service account to the Services, you are enabling the Services to access that Social Networking Service and certain of your data contained within that Social Networking Service. We will receive any data contained within that Social Networking Service that is provided by such Social Networking Service, or that you have allowed third parties (like GlimpzIt) to access ("Social Data"). For example, depending on your Facebook privacy settings, if you log into the Services using Facebook, we may receive your name, Facebook user ID, profile picture, gender, age range, location, friend lists and Facebook pages that you "like" on Facebook. If you do not wish to share this information with GlimpzIt, you can choose to log into our Services in other ways, such as by creating a GlimpzIt account.

In addition, if you choose to publish or share your Conversations or responses to Conversations or activities that occur on the Services with any enabled Social Networking Services (for example, if you share your response to a Conversation with your Facebook friends or Twitter followers), we will share such information with the applicable Social Networking Service, and your friends and followers on the Social Networking Service will see such activities. We will also receive information from the applicable Social Networking Service indicating that you have shared your Services activity and, in some cases, whether your connections have interacted with your shared posts on such Social Networking Service.

Please remember that the manner in which Social Networking Services use, store and disclose your information is governed solely by the policies of such third parties, and GlimpzIt shall have no liability or responsibility for the privacy practices or other actions of any Social Networking Service that may be enabled within the Services, including the manner in which such Social Networking Services may share your information.

Information from third parties and integration parters:

We collect your Personal Information or data from third parties if you give permission to those third parties to share your information with us or where you have made that information publicly available online.

Machine learning:

We will use machine learning techniques on response data, metadata, and cookie data, in order to provide our clients with useful and relevant insights from the data they have collected using our Services, to build features, improve our Services and to develop aggregated data products.

Other Uses Of Personal Information

GlimpzIt may use Personal Information collected from you for the following general purposes: (1) to fulfill your requests for Services; (2) to improve our Services; (3) to contact you to resolve problems; (4) to conduct research; and (5) to make our Services easier to use by reducing the need for you to enter information.

Cookies:

In order to provide you with personalized service, GlimpzIt uses cookies to keep and occasionally track information. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user's computer for record-keeping purposes.

We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate the Services. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. We set a persistent cookie to store your password if you choose "auto login", so you don't have to enter it more than once. We also store your display resolution and whether JavaScript is enabled in your browser to enhance the experience on the Sites. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser's help file. However, removing cookies may not allow you to take full advantage of all features on the Services. For more information on managing cookies in your browser, please consult www.allaboutcookies.org.

Links To Other Sites

Please note that, while using the Services, you could be directed to other sites that are developed and administered by third parties not affiliated with or controlled by GlimpzIt. These other sites may place their own cookies on your computer, collect data or solicit Personal Information.

For instance, GlimpzIt does not process payments between Site visitors through the Site; rather, our payment page is powered by a third party payment processor. The information provided to the payment processor is governed by the payment processor's privacy policy. As of the date of this Privacy Policy, GlimpzIt uses Braintree as our third party payment processor. Braintree's Privacy Policy is located at https://www.braintreepayments.com/legal/braintree-privacy-policy-us. We may change our payment processor in the future.

We suggest that when you link to another site you review that site's privacy policy, as it may be different from this Privacy Policy. GlimpzIt is not responsible for third party sites, including the content of such sites, how such sites enable or use cookies (or flash cookies), the use of information provided to such sites, or any products or services such sites may offer or feature. Our link to those sites does not constitute our sponsorship of, endorsement of, any representations about, or affiliation with, those people or companies.

How We Disclose Or Share Information With Others

Except as described in this policy, GlimpzIt does not rent, sell, or share Personal Information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies unless we have your express permission or under the following circumstances:

  • Disclosures to Clients. We share your Personal Information and data with advertising companies or manufacturers who will handle the data within the parameters outlined by this Privacy Policy. GlimpzIt has executed appropriate contracts with our clients that require them to secure your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and prohibit them from sharing Personal Information except in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
  • We Use Vendors and Service Providers. We may share any information we receive with vendors and service providers. The types of service providers (processors) to whom we entrust Personal Information include service providers for: (i) provision of IT and related services; (ii) provision of information and services you have requested; (iii) customer service activities; (iv) sub-contractor services; and (v) in connection with the provision of the Site. GlimpzIt has executed appropriate contracts with the service providers that prohibit them from using or sharing Personal Information except as necessary to perform the contracted services on our behalf or to comply with applicable legal requirements.
  • Disclosures to Protect Us or Others (e.g., as Required by Law and Similar Disclosures). We may access, preserve, and disclose your Personal Information and content if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to: (i) comply with law enforcement or national security requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (ii) respond to your requests; (iii) protect yours', ours' or others' rights, property, or safety; (iv) to enforce GlimpzIt policies or contracts; (v) to collect amounts owed to GlimpzIt; (vi) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss or in connection with an investigation or prosecution of suspected or actual illegal activity; or (vii) if we, in good faith, believe that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable.

In addition, from time to time, server logs may be reviewed for security purposes - e.g., to detect unauthorized activity on the Services. In such cases, server log data containing IP addresses may be shared with law enforcement bodies in order that they may identify users in connection with their investigation of the unauthorized activities.

  • Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of company assets, or transition of service to another provider, then your information may be sold or transferred as part of such a transaction as permitted by law and/or contract. In such event, GlimpzIt will endeavor to direct the transferee to use Personal Information in a manner that is consistent with the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such Personal Information was collected.

Data Transfers.

All Personal Information collected via or by GlimpzIt may be stored anywhere in the world, including but not limited to, in Turkey, the United States, the European Union, in the cloud, on our servers, on the servers of our affiliates or the servers of our service providers. Your Personal Information may be accessible to law enforcement or other authorities pursuant to a lawful request. By providing information to GlimpzIt, you consent to the storage of your Personal Information in these locations.

Opt-Out (RIGHT TO RESTRICT PROCESSING)

General.

You have the right to opt out of certain uses and disclosures of your Personal Information. Where you have consented to GlimpzIt's Processing of your Personal Information or Sensitive Personal Information, you may withdraw that consent at any time and opt-out to further Processing by contacting info@glimpzit.com. Even if you opt-out, we may still collect and use non-Personal Information regarding your activities on our Sites and/or information from the advertisements on Third-Party websites for non-interest based advertising purposes, such as to determine the effectiveness of the advertisements.

Email Communications.

If you receive an unwanted email from us, you can use the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of the email to opt-out of receiving future emails. We will process your request within a reasonable time after receipt. Note that you will continue to receive transaction-related emails regarding Services you have requested. We may also send you certain non-promotional communications regarding GlimpzIt and our Services and you will not be able to opt out of those communications (e.g., communications regarding updates to our Terms or this Privacy Policy).

We maintain "do-not-mail" lists as mandated by law. We process requests to be placed on do-not-mail and do-not-contact lists within 60 days after receipt, or such shorter time as may be required by law.

"Do Not Track"

Do Not Track ("DNT") is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. DNT is a way for users to inform websites and services that they do not want certain information about their webpage visits collected over time and across websites or online services. Please note that we do not respond to or honor DNT signals or similar mechanisms transmitted by web browsers.

Cookies and Interest-Based Advertising

As noted above, you may stop or restrict the placement of cookies on your computer or remove them from your browser by adjusting your web browser preferences. Please note that cookie-based opt-outs are not effective on mobile applications. However, on many mobile devices, application users may opt out of certain mobile ads via their device settings.

The online advertising industry also provides websites from which you may opt-out of receiving targeted ads from our data partners and our other advertising partners that participate in self-regulatory programs. You can access these, and also learn more about targeted advertising and consumer choice and privacy, at www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp, or http://www.youronlinechoices.eu/ and www.aboutads.info/choices/. You can also choose not to be included in Google Analytics here.

To be clear, whether you are using our opt-out or an online industry opt-out, these cookie-based opt-outs must be performed on each device and browser that you wish to have opted-out. For example, if you have opted-out on your computer browser, that opt-out will not be effective on your mobile device. You must separately opt-out on each device. Advertisements on Third-Party websites that contain the AdChoices link and that link to this Privacy Policy may have been directed to you based on anonymous, non-Personal Information collected by advertising partners over time and across websites. These advertisements provide a mechanism to opt-out of the advertising partners' use of this information for interest-based advertising purposes.

Rights of Access, Rectification, Erasure, and Restriction

We provide mechanisms for you to review and update your Personal Information through the Services. If you wish to review or update your information, please visit your profile page on our mobile application or website(s), including the Site. If you wish to stop receiving marketing communications from us, you can opt out by clicking the unsubscribe link in any message that we send to you. You also have the ability to opt out of receiving certain types of communications from us by visiting the Site and logging in to your profile.

Although GlimpzIt makes good faith efforts to provide Individuals with access to their Personal Information, there may be circumstances in which GlimpzIt is unable to provide access, including but not limited to: where the information contains legal privilege, would compromise others' privacy or other legitimate rights, where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the Individual's privacy in the case in question or where it is commercially proprietary. If GlimpzIt determines that access should be restricted in any particular instance, we will provide you with an explanation of why that determination has been made and a contact point for any further inquiries. To protect your privacy, GlimpzIt will take commercially reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access to or making any changes to your Personal Information.
